Supported Decision-Making
Since 2021, SUN has collaborated with the Georgia Advocacy Office (GAO) to support the the I DECIDE Georgia project when GAO was selected to participate in the Administration on Community Living’s Center on Youth Voice Youth Choice. Through this national project SUN and GAO are connected to a network of state practitioners and other experts while training youth with I/DD to become Youth Ambassadors to promote alternatives to guardianship and work for change in their states.

Rise Up Speak Out Coalition
Sangha Unity Network was awarded a Grassroots Project grant from the Human Services Research Institute (HSRI). This national initiative, supported by the Administration for Community Living, invests in cross-disability coalitions that put people with disabilities at the center of systems change. With this award, SUN will lead the Rise Up Speak Out Coalition, a community-driven effort to strengthen advocacy efforts, promote inclusive community practices, and increase visibility of self-advocates across Georgia.
